Anne Berk

Anne Berk is an art critic, curator and educator, based near Amsterdam, NL. She is also coordinator and curator for the European Sculpture Network. She likes to share her knowledge and passion for art with the public. Trained in sculpture and art history, she wrote more than a thousand articles and a number of monographs on international contemporary art and sculpture. The book and exhibition Bodytalk (2004) in Museum Beelden aan Zee (NL) deals with the shift from abstract to figurative art in Dutch sculpture, in the context  of changes in society. She continued her research in conceptual figuration with In Search of Meaning, the Human Figure in Global Perspective, including a book and an exhibition in Museum De Fundatie (NL, 2015). She also curated Jenseits, Beyond the Body (2012) Weltkunstzimmer Düsseldorf (DE) which will have a follow up in Kunstentret Silkeborg Bad (2018). She curated two conferences for Sculpture Network, about modernism and globalisation (2013) and eco art (2016).
