Eighteen monumental works by contemporary artists are displayed throughout the City, temporarily transforming the spectacular architecture that surrounds them. Throughout the city\u2019s green spaces, thousands of tree saplings have been harvested by the artist and by a team of volunteers who have carefully removed the leaves and helped set up the installation. For the past twenty years, the Uruguayan artist, master in stone sculpting, seems to have been forgotten by art history. Indeed, this is the first New York exhibition of the artist\u2019s work since 1971.
