Land Art by Michael Lailach

Artworks - 25/01/2017 - Article : Barbara Fecchio

The Basic Genre collection from Taschen Books is probably the most famous art book series in the world. Land Art, by Michael Lailach, belongs to this famous collection, and it was impossible not to include it in our library.

This ninety six-page publication opens with an introduction on land art from political, cultural and scientific standpoints. Lailach then offers a selection of some of the most important works of this artistic movement, each presented on a two-page spread along with an interpretation of the piece as well as a portrait of the artist. Despite its very simple layout, this book contains a wealth of essential information and is perfectly adapted to a “wide readership” eager to know more about land art.
