A preview of FIAC 2015 Hors les Murs
Following the footsteps of the Unlimited program of the Art Basel fair in Switzerland, the FIAC has stretched out of the Grand Palais for the past few years to display outdoor pieces, questioning the relationship between art, nature and urban space. The Tuileries gardens, the Botanical gardens, the Seine riverbanks, the place Vendôme, and this year the Petit Palais and the Delacroix museum will be hosting sculptures and installations, thus transforming the heart of the capital in a giant outdoor gallery for everyone to enjoy. Before you are able to see and experience it in real life, the FIAC’s Facebook page offers helpful information on Hors les Murs. Here is a quick preview:
- Yure, by architect Kengo Kuma, will be presented for the first time in France by the galerie Philippe Gravier,
- Gonflable, contrepoids, transmission scooter électrique, lustres à pampilles, collecteur tournant, chaîne de moto, vingt-quatre volts, this installation with a rather strange title by artist Vivien Roubaud will be presented by the Galerie In Situ at the Tuileries gardens,
- Circle of Animals/ Zodiac Heads, a bestiary-like installation by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei will be presented at the Tuileries gardens by the Lisson Gallery.
