Since 1969, sculpture installations by world renowned artists such as Bernar Venet, Dubuffet, Robert Indiana and Manolo Valdes are displayed on the Park Avenue malls in New York. In 2014, American artist Alice Aycock installed seven monumental sculptures – some of them over 65 feet long – between 52nd and 66th Ave.<\/p>\n

Alice Aycock finds inspiration in movement \u2013 tornadoes, dance, fabric\u2026 While always in control of what could seem unexpected or disorderly, most of the her painted aluminum sculptures\u00a0 give to the viewer a sensation of whirlwind, energy, vitality and rhythm. What seems to be the very essence of New York City\u2026<\/p>\n

Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 1946, Alice Aycock starts working on public art and outdoor installations very early in her career. Her sculptures are included in many outdoor collections that have been displayed worldwide: museums (MoMA, LA County Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum), libraries, universities, foundations (Fondation Louis Vuitton), airports (New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC), sculpture parks (Storm King Art Center, Omi International Arts Center), among others\u2026<\/p>\n
